Trip To The Mountains

Lately Aunty Tooki has been feeling as hot and exhausted as this poor chap.  I decided to give myself a break and go find a cool place to chill out.

Off to the mountains I went.  Thick clouds and rain and mist.  What more could I ask for!  Lovely!

Henri Matisse said, "There are always flowers for those who want to see them."  How very true.

Aunty Tooki says....there are always dogs for those who want to see them.  I saw lots of homeless dogs up there.  This one was waiting for customers to throw her some food.  Look at those scars.

This one slept in the middle of the road.  He didn't care if a car ran over him.

This one slept under a car.  Look at that horrible wound/growth.  Isn't it pathetic?  No one bothered with them and Aunty Tooki felt so, so sorry.

This one tore at my heart.  It was running all over on three legs trying to look for food in the garbage bins.  There was none.  Aunty Tooki bought him a packet of rice with chicken and gravy.  I am so sorry I couldn't do more.  That was probably the only decent meal he had ever had in a long, long time.

Once upon a time, I was a cute little puppy too.  I fed on my mother's milk and I grew fat while she grew thin.  Then she left me to fend for myself.  Where to find food?  From the garbage.  Toxic food that humans threw at me made my body rot.  I was too hungry to resist.

They live near humans but not many will give them food, even leftover food.  Some are killed in a cruel manner.  Hey, dog killers!  Do you know it's like killing an innocent toddler?  That's the IQ of a dog, a toddler's IQ.

It could have been me.

Seeing suffering is horrible, but important also, so we remember that it is there. I am so happy that you rescued Wawa and my heart was happy that you fed the poor pup with the injured leg. I will extend more kindness today because you reminded me how important that is.

Oh I feel so sad and sorry for these homeless doggies. You are so kind to get food for that poor doggie. That sure made him happy.

Seeing that breaks our hearts....mum and I had a tear or two thinking of the lives of the homeless doggies - we wish that your country will make steps to solve the problem.

On a happier note - can we have your postal address for Coco so I can post her present? Our email addy is on the 14/4/12 post. Thanks!

That makes us really sad. It breaks our hearts to see so many unloved strays....
I wish there could be free vet clinics worldwide, to have animals spayed and neutered. That would be a good start...

Makes us very sad and Mom was tearing after looking at the pics of those poor doggies :( especially the one sleeping under the car with the growth/wound :'(

There are just so many strays out there that nothing much can be done for them...we feel so sad.

Seeing those poor sad dogs made my Mum cry. We can't understand why people would be cruel to dogs - at least Wawa has been given the chance of happiness and a loving home with you, Tooki and you are so kind to those poor hungry strays. Thank you for showing us that beautiful flower too - woofs and licks from Magic xx

Dearest Tooki,
Hi! You really are sweetheart, my friend!!! My father once brought the stray dog home when I was little. As my parents were so busy, we couldn't keep her and luckly found the owner.
I am happy that at least Wawa being with you and Coco♡♡♡
Take Care of Yourself, it is comfortable weather now here but will soon be hot... (^^;)
Love you always, xoxo Miyako*

Awww Wawa. I know how you feel. I can see those dogs in the streets too- some too infested with mange and others limping but still hopping to scavenge the garbage cans.

It breaks my heart. Especially with the fact that we also don't have pounds or shelters here. I can only take as many dogs as my budget could feed.

Huggies and Cheese,

Haopee

What a sorry situation you found--poor babies, how mean and irresponsible humans can be.

I'm glad you were there, tho, to give them a kind word and give the one doggie some food. You will be blessed for that xx

Hugs,
Tom
