Lovely Afternoon Walk

Oh please! Don't go home yet! I want to go to the beach...
(Coco and Mommi both said, "OK")

Hey, don't run so fast!!!!!! Save me, Cesar!

Yay! Pant, pant! Sniff, sniff!

Anycrabbie home?

Wawaaaa! A crabbie just clawed me!

To swim or not to swim?

I think not. I'll just sunbathe a little.

To be or not to be....wet?

I think not. Wawa and water don't mix. I'll go to the park.

Thumbs Down For Secret Recipe

I had lunch at a place called Secret Recipe 4-5 days ago. Comfortable but pricey. Cakes are ok but the meals? Um, I think my cooking taste better. Don't get me wrong, I am not a good cook. They are just worse than me. I had grilled fish with butter sauce or something to that effect. ALL their fish recipes use cheap (before it reaches Secret Recipe that is), lousy-tasting dory fish. I know white fish, red fish, tenggiri, kerapu, bawal, pari...but what on earth is a dory fish. It's everywhere in the supermarket minus head, tail and bones so it is unidentifiable. I do know that it doesn't taste good. I usually try to give thanks for everything but this dory fish meal has given me a bad case of diarrhoea. Did they cook a fly with it or what? I had to take 2 days off from work because the best toilet in the world is still the toilet in your home. The toilet at my workplace reminds me of my grandmother's toilet -- wooden, non-flushable (careful, careful, flushing will make things float) and on rainy days it is visited by frogs and snakes. Snakes I have not seen but a black frog jumped out right after I used the toilet one rainy morning. I jumped and shrieked and dislodged the sink all at once.

I felt better today so I decided to bring the dogs for a walk. 3 pm, I told myself. And I prayed for dark, grey clouds to block off the sun. No one will be jogging/walking at such an hour. Not even stray dogs. I can let Wawa run free and wild. Coco can sniff, schnoofle (?) and furtle (?) for as long as she likes. My prayer was answered with an extra blessing. It rained as soon as we reached home. What better way to cool off!

I Love My Bed And My Bed Loves Me!

I kept Coco's old bed in the storeroom after it grew too small for them. Furthermore, both dogs had chewed it out of recognition. Recently I decided to use it to keep their toys and I realised that the one who missed it the most must have been Wawa. He carries it everywhere with him. I'll carry it to his enclosure from my room and the next minute he will bring it right back. Out it goes again and he'll carry it to the study. I"ll put all their toys in it and as soon as my back is turned, he will turn it upside down and scatter all the toys on the floor. On and on it goes. It used to be that each morning I had to carry Wawa (who is heavier than a sack of rice) from the study to his enclosure. When he sees me getting ready for work he will go hide in a corner in the study while angel Coco will skip happily inside for her titbits (she'll skip anywhere for titbits). Eversince I placed the bed in the enclosure, Wawa has gone there out of his own free will for his titbits. If I don't want to lift weights every morning, I'd better repair the bed diligently....

Wawa claimed the bed when he was still a small fry pup. No whiskered, bushy-browed schnauzer could get a paw in.

Don't use my bed for anything except me! It's mine, mine, mine!

Please Adopt Boonie

This is Boonie.

I am helping Simone and Bella Luna from Doberman's By The Sea to spread the word about Boonie, an unneutered male Lab-Boxer mix who is homeless. We are all hoping Boonie will find a loving owner through our blogs. To find out more about Boonie's story, please click on the link.

Yoohoo, Save Me!

What do you think they're up to, Coco?
Don't know but I want to be out there!! Yap, yap, yoohoo, over here!

I hear a dog yelping...it sounds like a damsel in distress.
We've got a squirrel up this tree to take care of, friend.

Smoother Blogging Now

I've been using this Digi thing to access the internet for years. It might as well be called Lousy or Useless as far as my area is concerned. Today I tried my nephew's Maxis and boy*oh*boy, it's now my property. That is the reason why I could read everybody's blog today. Oh, by the way, I am not a heartless aunt. My nephew can have my Digi which works like a rocket where he lives. I am looking forward to smoother blogging in the future....:)

You Have Your Way, Baby, I have Mine

Wawa's idea of walking is..........

....dashing off at top speed and freaking out joggers. A friend has promised to send Cesar Millan an invitation to Sabah for my sake. Well, all the best and best of luck and break a leg.

Coco's idea of a walk is..........

...sniff, sniff, sniff...infuriating, endless sniffing.
And then she tells me she wants to go home.
Coco, that's not our gate.
What? I'm tired! Carry me, I can't walk anymore!

How To Get Attention

When Coco is getting all the attention which is also too much attention (in my opinion) I know just the way to grab my share.

Use my rear to oust her out of the way and deposit myself as closely as possible to the attention-giver.

There! I now have a very nice spot in between Coco and whoever. Mommi is harder to tackle but I succeed by repeatedly pushing my behind into Coco's face.

I even get a smooch. Eat your heart out, Coco.

Okay lah, poor Coco, I will give you a smooch lah! MMMMuuuuuaaaah!

What's In The News?

Well, this is actually history now because it took me so long to post it. I barely have time to read the papers and sometimes it gets so bad I read them while I am laying them out on the floor for the dog's meal or when I am about to line Wawa's tray. Here's one with sexy, waxy Coco Lee. A lovely singer with a beautiful voice. well, Coco was sort of named after her. Sort of.

This is a piece of good news for me because I like Jet Li movies. At least he's still making movies but this time as the bad guy.

This is definitely not good news. That looks like a German Shepherd. It's not good to be a dog in Korea. So, that's a bit of history all from one day's paper. That rare day when I had time to sit and read.

Saturday Afternoon Walk

Yeh! Finally! I can bring Mommi out for a walk!

I hear buffaloes.

Yoohoo, anybirdie home?

Hurry, Coco! What's taking you so long??

Wait! This patch of grass has an intriguing smell.....sniff, sniff.

Things I didn't like during our walk included twigs and thorns and giant fire ants crawling up my butt...

....buffalo dung....(Mommi calls them chocolate cake)....

...and something dead (eeek).

Enough. I am ready to get out of here. I want to go home.
(Coco, that's the wrong gate.)
I don't care, I want to go home!

Moooooaaaaannnn...I'm exhausted!

Cocoo..oo.ooo...help me! I am aching all over...:((

Who told you to run like a wild horse out there? I'll kiss you better.

Yeh! I feel better - it's the power of (Coco's) love

Sniff-Sniff Game

Where did you hide it???

Hee hee! On the window sill, behind the curtain! Lets see whose snout is mightier!

She usually hides it here in this corner....

Hooohooo -- Wawa found it again! 9 times out of 10 Wawa will find it first. The 10th time, he will just grab it from Coco. Sometimes the lucky star shines on Coco. The food drops out and rolls right under her nose.....:)

Imported Bananas No Good To Eat!

I don't like bananas. My favorite food is carrot, ok?

I love bananas but this is imported. I only eat bananas grown in Sabah!!

Anyway, I will stand guard over it.
(The selfish dog also stood guard over Coco's share.)
